Last Market of 2013 Tomorrow, October 5

It’s been a beautiful growing season, but all good things must come to an end…the same applies to the 2013 Farmers Market.

The final market will be tomorrow from 9-noon in the lot between the Dollar General Store and the Moose.

Even though it’s the final market, there will still be a variety of your fall and perennial favorites from which to choose. Here are some of the items that will be there:

peppers of all kinds

jellies and jams

pole beans

butternut squash

We thank all of you who have supported local growers in our county with your patronage through 2013. We invite you to stay tuned for a bigger and better Farmers Market Season 2014 next spring.

Oh, and don’t forget to come visit us at the Pike County Library (Petersburg Branch) Fall Festival on Monday, October 28, from 4-7 p.m. We’ll be there with some goodies as well as a big announcement!

Come get some beautiful fresh peppers tomorrow at the market!

Word has it that there might even be some of Donna’s cinnamon rolls
